Photographs help us make sense of the world around us. Democracy in Focus is a curated selection of images that explores how we practice and negotiate democracy in daily life, grapple with complex power structures, document the past, and envision the future. The online print sale includes work from Wessam Al Badry, Andrea Bruce, Laura Morton, Tasneem Alsultan, Shahidul Alam, Carlos Javier Ortiz, Griselda San Martin, Ken Light, Alpana Aras-King, Tomas van Houtryve, Sarah Blesener, Josue Rivas and Nicole Tung. This body of work reflects aspects of democracy including justice, freedom, legitimacy, and power.

Prints are available in two sizes: 8.5 x 11in and 13 x 19in and your choice of framed or unframed starting at $150.00 as well as the option to purchase the whole set. Photos will be museum quality, archival prints — printed by Digital Silver Imaging on Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag Satin paper. Photographs will be shipped within four weeks of purchase.

All Democracy in Focus Prints come with a choice of framing options. These contemporary black wood frames feature archival 4ply window mat and glazed with conservation UV acrylic. Please allow an extra 2 weeks for framing your orders.

Proceeds from the sale will be split evenly between contributing artists and CatchLight’s programs to support visual storytelling.
